So werkelt im E2228T mit dem Intel Atom x5-8350 ein Einstiegsmodell, das für Internet- und Office-Aufgaben völlig ausreicht, für aufwendige Foto- und Videobearbeitungen aber viel Geduld erfordert. Auch der Speicher ist mit 58 Gigabyte (Typ: eMMC) sehr knapp bemessen, lässt sich aber immerhin per microSD-Karte erweitern.

Eine weitere Besonderheit versteckt sich im Touchpad, das in der oberen linken Ecke einen Fingerabdrucksensor fürs komfortable Einloggen in Windows 10 beherbergt. Gewöhnungsbedürftig: Streichen Nutzer beim Arbeiten über die Fläche des Fingerabdrucksensors, bewegt sich der Mauszeiger nicht. Dennoch ist so ein Extra bei so günstigen Notebooks kaum zu finden. Ob Smartphone, Tablet, Notebook oder Digitalkamera: Ohne Akku geht bei vielen Geräten gar nichts. Sie sind aber auch ein ständiges Ärgernis. Mit welchen Tricks sich Leistung und Lebensdauer deutlich erhöhen lässt.

Denn jede dieser wiederaufladbaren Batterien lässt früher oder später nach und gibt irgendwann ganz den Geist auf. Wer einige Dinge beachtet, kann aber die Leistung und Lebensdauer seiner Akkus deutlich erhöhen.

„Die Lebensdauer ist abhängig von der Zellchemie der verwendeten Akkumulatoren und der Art der Nutzung“, erklärt Jürgen Ripperger vom Verband der Elektrotechnik (VDE). Heute finden sich vor allem Lithium-Ionen-Akkus in Smartphones und Tablets. Diese überstehen meist rund drei Jahre oder 500 bis 1000 Ladezyklen unbeschadet.

In manchen alten Handys oder Schnurlostelefonen stecken auch noch Nickel-Metallhydrid-Akkus. Egal, welcher Akkutyp zum Einsatz kommt: „Die Hersteller der Geräte geben in Ihren Bedienungsanleitungen umfassende Informationen für einen sicheren und langlebigen Einsatz der eingesetzten Akkumulatoren“, sagt Ripperger.

„Speed-Charger“ lädt Handy-Akkus in 30 Sekunden Wer das Smartphone richtig nutzt, verbraucht oft viel Batterieleistung und muss den Akku entsprechend neu aufladen. „StoreDot“ aus Tel Aviv haben eine schnelle Lösung für dieses Problem entwickelt.

Doch wie kann ein Akku überhaupt Schaden nehmen? „Es gibt drei Aspekte beim Betrieb von Akkus, die die Lebensdauer nachhaltig beeinflussen: Temperatur, Laderate und Ladebereich“, erklärt Jens Tübke, Abteilungsleiter für Angewandte Elektrochemie beim Fraunhofer-Institut für Chemische Technologie (ICT).„Die ideale Betriebstemperatur liegt zwischen zehn und 35 Grad Celsius“, sagt Ripperger. Ebenso gelte es, die Laderate zu beachten, also den Lade- und Entladestrom im Verhältnis zur Akkukapazität. Schnellladefunktionen nutzt man deshalb besser nicht.

Was den meisten nicht klar sein dürfte ist, dass auch der Ladebereich relevant ist: „Man sollte möglichst in einem Bereich zwischen 40 und 85 Prozent nachladen“, rät Jens Tübke. Ein Lithium-Ionen-Akku muss nicht immer randvoll geladen werden. Im Gegenteil: Dauerhaft hohe Ladestände gehen zulasten der Lebensdauer und Haltbarkeit.

Um im Alltagsgebrauch die Akkus von Tablets, Smartphones und Laptops zu schonen, sollte man auch stets den Energieverbrauch im Blick behalten. „Die Akkulaufzeit über den Tag lässt sich vor allem verlängern, wenn nicht benötigte Features ausgeschaltet werden, wie starke Display-Beleuchtung, WLAN-Suche oder Bluetooth“, sagt Ralf Trautmann vom Telekommunikationsportal „Teltarif.de“. Aus dem gleichen Grund sollten ungenutzte Datenträger oder Geräte abgezogen und ungenutzte offene Programme geschlossen werden.

Bei der Lagerung von Akkus und Geräten mit eingebauter wiederaufladbarer Batterie sollte man den Ladezustand und die Temperatur beachten: „Möglichst in einem Temperaturbereich zwischen 15 und 25 Grad Celsius und bei einem mittleren Ladezustand von 40 bis 60 Prozent“, rät Tübke.

Akkus können übrigens Schaden nehmen, wenn Geräte wie Notebooks oder Smartphones dauerhaft am Stromnetz hängen: Dabei können die Batterien erhitzen und an Lebensdauer einbüßen.
